Lesson Plans: November 26 - 30

Monday

Warm-up:

Lesson: Students will receive spelling packet 13. I will only test the class over the first eight words Friday. The class will review and discuss spelling packet 13. Once completed we will read chapter 14 in The Cay.

HW: Complete packet, 3x, and sentences

Tuesday

Warm-up:

Lesson: We will continue to work with adjectives today. We will discuss definite and indefinite articles (pg. 333 Grammar book). Students will also be able to identify proper adjectives (pg. 334-335).

HW: Pg 334 Ex. 4 Problems 2,4,6,8,10; Pg 335 Ex. 5 Problems 2,4,6,8,10

Monday

Warm-up: Monday 15

Lesson: Today I will return the five paragraph essays you completed Thursday. We will peer edit these papers and make corrections.

HW: Create the final copy of your expository essay.

Tuesday

Warm-up: Tuesday 15

Lesson: We have to pick a class representative for the school spelling bee. We will select this student by conducting a class spelling bee. After the spelling bee, we will continue to read The Cay.
HW: None

Wednesday: No School

Thursday: No School

Friday: No School

Lesson Plans: November 12 - 16

Monday: No School

Tuesday

Warm-up: Tuesday 14

Lesson: The class will complete their next spelling packet. Once complete, I will give the students the next requirements for their book reports. BOOK REPORT DUE DECEMBER 14. We will continue to read and discuss The Cay.

HW: Complete spelling packet

Wednesday: No class due to Red Ribbon assembly.

Thursday: If we have class today, it will be extremely short since the whole school will be taking part in a practice TCAP writing test. Students will remain in their homerooms while writing a five paragraph expository essay. I will grade and return these papers at a later date.

Warm-up: Journal- I am most thankful for….

Lesson: Take spelling test. We will also read and discuss The Cay.
